After a magnificent run that included knocking out Cardiff City and TNS youth teams in the Quarter and Semi Finals respectively, the Merthyr youth team rounded off the Welsh Youth Cup competition with a 2-1 Final win over Cardiff Celts.

Following the recent first team debuts of Matthew Harris, Matthew Glassey (who scored in the 2-1 Final win) Marcus Griffiths and Craig James in the last month, the future is looking increasingly bright for The Martyrs and next season will hopefully see some, if not all, of them progressing further into the first team.
