the only day (during the footy season) i forget totally about footy is nearly here TalkFootball/woohoo.gif

and for once the weather looks like being nice to us TalkFootball/banana.gif so sav has decided to smarten up a bit for the big day TalkFootball/rofl1.gif

my new blacky grey suit is packed and ready along with a new jet black shirt and even a black and white tie(missus reckons i look like a gangster TalkFootball/rofl1.gif )

i looked around on the net to try and find a list of runners i could just copy and paste in this thread but couldnt find one,but i did find a site with all the details of the horses which is quite helpful if ur trying to find the winner(which i do because i'm determined to beat my missus this year she's a jammy bugger in 15 years we been married only twice she's failed to pick the winner TalkFootball/frusty.gif )

here's the link-

http://www.grand-national-guide.co.uk/gran...nal-runners.php

and if anybody could post the runners and riders perhaps we could do a sweepstake(i might even get the winner a prize,a grand national mug or something) TalkFootball/rofl1.gif

You don't stop for the Melbourne Cup. At 2 miles long and with no jumps it is probably like a sprint to you guys and the Cox Plate, though worth less and less heralded, is the true championship of Australian horse racing.

Grand National seems like survival of the fit-*test*-('") by contrast. Do any of those horses ever race again?

Ballycassidy on the old first name to catch my eye theory of punting. Put 500 pounds on the place for me, can't afford to bet the win right now.

sajlfc- 04-14-2007
have a guess who's wife had the 33/1 winner of the national today!! rolleyes.gif

SavageisGod- 04-16-2007

if the line was five yards further i reckon mckevely(one of the horses i backed )would have won TalkFootball/frusty.gif
