I've been sent a load of pictures by a mate, but instead of them being jpegs they are all .pcx files.

When I try to open them my computer doesn't recognise the file type. Also, if I try to rename them by replacing the .pcx with .jpg the computer doesn't show anything.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Sounds like you will need to use a graphics converter Mr P.
I dont know of any free ones off hand, but I'll have a look.

I was hoping you wouldn't say that.

I can only really access the 'net whilst at work (as I am now) and downloading programs are a big no-no.

....... and I daren't send them back through the firewall in case the IT Police get hold of them and they turn out to be the kind of thing that I shouldn't be sending around.
