Forwards (4): Conor Casey (Karlsruher), Chris Klein (Kansas City Wizards), Brian McBride (Fulham FC), Josh Wolff (Kansas City Wizards)

Three things to note are:

1. Brad Friedel makes his return to the National squad since the loss to Germany int he 2002 World Cup.

2. US Captain Claudio Reyna will earn his 99th cap, one short of the century mark.

3. Chris Klein was a late replacement for Landon Donovan who fell ill with flu prior to the team's departure to Poland.

I'm a fan of friedel's, was he picked because Howard hasn't been playing?
what made the change of heart?

I wouldn't read too much into it jinzie. I think Arena is trying to make sure all of his keepers stay in touch with National Team. Hence Keller and Howard were selected against Holland and Friedel and Walker against Poland.

In fact it was surprising to see Friedel start ahead of Keller in 2002. Every expert over here had Keller ahead of Friedel, guess that shows what experts know!

Anyways the more important CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers will be more indicative of who Arena thinks is in form so wait til then to take the selections with more than a grain of salt.

Oh, alright, I just wasn't sure.
But I rate Friedel, possibly one of the best shot-stoppers in the world.
You americans sure produce some good goalies- meola, friedel, keller, howard, etc...
