I just bought a digital camera and a dv lead to get my home porn movies onto the computer.

The lead fits the camera but i have no slot on my computer to plug the dv lead, plenty of usb slots but not a firewire one.

I can get hold of a hub that obviously plugs into usb that has a firewire port on there but not sure if i will then need drivers for firewire.

Any help please??

Not sure, just get the hub and give it a go! if you need the drivers they'll no doubt be available somewhere on the internet.

I just got a copy of Adobe Premiere Elements installed on here, if you wanna borrow the disc let me know.

Is that video editing/ copying software?

should have the hub in a day or two but your sis seems to think she or your dad have firewire on one of their computers...would be better if i can get it going on here but not all is lost just yet.

I would have thought your PC would have it as standard....It aint very old is it???
Did you look on E-bay for an internal Firewire card???

I thought it would be on here to but theres no slot for it..not looked on ebay i been out most of the day and come home with at least 30 litres of fish tank water to mop up...hald hour late they would have been flapping about on the bottom the poor lil fookers
