The Los Angeles Galaxy did not have leading scorer Carlos Ruiz, but they came out firing Wednesday night to beat D.C. United, 4-2, at RFK Stadium. Alejandro Moreno, Ruiz's replacement, registered a hat trick in under eight minutes and Joseph Ngwenya deposited his first goal of 2004. D.C.'s Freddy Adu netted his second career goal in a losing effort.
