Leeds fans face a wait until Monday for the results of the first creditors vote regarding administration. I am unsure what happens exactly if the proposal is rejected but I know it isn't good. The club needs the proposal to be accepted and to be able to move on.

I will check the LUFC website again on Tuesday my time, the vote was apparently very close and the need fro a recount doesn't augre well.

Fingers crossed for the right result for Leeds and Football (and greyman).

wouldnt say its the right result for football if the creditors agree

swindonforever- 06-02-2007
the decision has been put on hold until 10am monday morning where there will be a recount of votes

apparently they did secure just over the 75 percent of votes in which they needed but due to the closeness of votes a recount is needed

I hadn't heard they got the 75%. This is good news. A strong healthy Leeds is good for football. Gives all the soft c0cks someone to hate.

Bates needed 75% and he got 75.02% of the first count so they had a recount as it was so close. All done and dusted now though and he's got his hands on Leeds again

I doubt that Leed's creditors are as happy.

this is a shame, I was hoping Leeds were gonna go out of business. I'd have laughed, a little... TalkFootball/giggle[1].gif TalkFootball/rofl1.gif

I heard Leeds fans were planning on renaming Elland Road to the Theatre of Nightmares, in response to Man U's Theatre of Dreams...

or was the rumour that they were just gonna rename Elland Road to Tesco and be done with it?! TalkFootball/giggle[1].gif

never mind, Ken Bates' grubby little hands will no doubt drag them back up the leagues.

The best thing for the creditors would be a return to the EPL within five seasons, they get a lot more back that way.

I can't see that (though I do live in hope).

Greyman - can you get Private Eye where you are? They have been covering the finances of a number of football clubs recently, and Leeds gets a mention this week. Interesting parallels between this deal and the sale of Chelsea to Abramovitch that might interest you.
