Just seen a picture in today's paper of a smiling Steven Gerrard holding the award aloft.

Surely, whoever sanctions and/or sponsors this award should've done the decent thing and put out a statement saying that in light of England's performances over the last year they thought the only decent thing to do was to withdraw it.

How embarrassed must Gerrard have felt to be awarded it?!?!
