Well well well, what can I say?

We weren't good enough and Chelsea have deservedly gone through. The difference on the night was not only Joe Cole and Shaun Wright-Philips but had theose two been in the blue of Everton then maybe we might have had a chance.

Good luck to Spurs for the final you're going to need it.

We will need a bit of luck in the final, but even if (when, or whatever...) we lose we'll still be in the UEFA Cup next season, for a third consecutive season, which is something at least, especially as our league position suggests we wouldn't have made it through that route this year.

A cup final within months of having a new manager is a bonus really, I didn't expect to get fark all out of this season after the pish poor start, but here we are in the Mickey Mouse cup final, it's not so bad.

The Special Juan is convincing me that despite the way the board went about things, they did the right thing in appointing him as the manager.

Still an awful long way to go yet though, there will undoutedly be a lot of movement in the summer transfer window. Ramos will get rid of a lot of the deadwood, and bring in his own players, could be interesting times ahead though.

I'm not sure whether thats the case this year MTTC. I may be wrong but I remember reading an article at the beginning of the season which said that if the winner of the Carling Cup had already qualified for Europe, the position would be given back to the league, rather than the runner up. The same as the FA Cup.

Oh, I dunno. We'll just go out and beat Chelsea anyway. They're shite! TalkFootball/giggle[1].gif

Congratulations Spurs, thoroughly deserved. Ramos adds another trophy to his cabinet! Exciting times ahead for Spurs fans I feel.

:Cheers

What did I say? We'll just go out there and beat 'em! Well, there it is!

Chelsea were poor, I thought, and didn't deserve to lead at half-time. I thought we were the better team throughout the 120 minutes, and were worthy winners.

I know it's only the Carling Cup, but you have to start somewhere.

There could be exciting times ahead for us under The Special Juan Ramos. He was tactically better than Grant today, Chelsea were one-dimensional at best.

With a few astute purchases we'll be an extremely strong team, and tough to beat.

Drogba's a diving tw*t as well. If he f*cks off to play for Barcelona the Premier League will be a better place.

Come on you Spurs!!!

Well done totts, at least the team that actually played football won ..... TalkFootball/cheers.gif

Congratulations to Spurs on a thoroughly deserved victory. TalkFootball/cheers.gif

Nice to see someone else win a trophy for a change.

Drogba should've had a penalty but we all know what happened to the boy who cried wolf ......

Cheers lads TalkFootball/cheers.gif

Chelsea were extremely poor I thought, and we did indeed try to play a bit of football (an alien concept to Chelsea, I fear) and the best team won, for me.

I was worried at half-time, thinking we'd never score, but that fear was about the old crap Spurs. We're more resilient now, and keep going until the end. Even against The Big Four.

We've now given three of the four good games, beaten two of them (I know Arsenal in particular weren't at full strength) and should have got more out of the Man Utd games. We don't fear anyone, any more, and that can only be a positive thing.

GUNNERMAN- 02-25-2008
Top 4?

Is this the same Spurs that spunked £45million quid in the summer on Prince-Boateng, Bent, Bale, Kabul; and in January spent another £20 odd million on Woodgate, Hutton and Gilberto. Also after paying off Jol, and then having to aquire Ramos who was under contract at Seville I'm sure the amount is arguably larger.

I reckon that's 1 league cup for over £65million. Bargain. TalkFootball/whistling.gif

I hadn't heard that the football world was going to end at the end of the season. Do we have to hand the players we've signed back at the end of the season?

GUNNERMAN- 02-25-2008
Oh I forgot youre also going to win the League, CL, FA Cup and the Uefa cup for good measure ..... of course that would justify TalkFootball/OMG!.gif £65M ....

Yet Chelsea bought the League.....

Mediocre hypocrites.

Well done Spurs, nothing would make me happier than seeing ManU and Chelsea finnish without a trophy this season. I am very pleased for the Spurs fans to finally get a trophy and at the expense of Chelsea and Arsenal on the way. What a magnificent cup run you must be very happy to have a manager in ramos who knows how to win trophies. May he bring you many more. TalkFootball/cheers.gif
