Addicks launch American academy
Charlton have set up a United States Soccer Academy in an attempt to capture emerging players in America.
Players at the centre in Tuscon, Arizona, will follow the same football and educational syllabus as members of the Addicks' academy set-up in England.
And those that make the grade will move to Charlton's academy in Sparrows Lane.
Academy manager Steve Gritt said: "I hope that the academy and club will ultimately benefit should there be any players considered good enough."
He continued: "Should they qualify, they will come over and train at our academy, with the aim of pursuing a career at Charlton.
"I'm delighted the club has entered into an academy agreement in America."
