CARDIFF City and Wolves have been drawn against each other in the FA Cup for the first time since 1921.
And the fifth-round tie, scheduled on or around Saturday, February 16, will be the first time they have met at Ninian Park in the competition.
“It’s a tie we can win and it’s at home. There is not much more to ask for,” said City chairman Peter Ridsdale.
The two teams have already met at Ninian Park this season, Wolves recovering from 2-1 down at half-time to take all three points 3-2.
Wolves include Welsh internationals in goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, defender Rob Edwards, midfielder David Edwards and striker Freddy Eastwood, who is currently out injured.
Cardiff City goalkeeper Michael Oakes made 199 League appearances for Wolves during eight years at Molineux.
Previous FA Cup ties involving Cardiff and Wolves: 1919-1920: Wolves 1, Cardiff City 2. 1920-21: Wolves 0, Cardiff City 0 (at Anfield); replay, Wolves 3, Cardiff City 1 (at Old Trafford).
