i need a little advice please.
If i put another pc in my daughters bedroom, will it be possible for her to connect to the internet (broadband) via my pc, if both pc's have a blue tooth dongle???
Thanks in advance
I think you may need a router John, ask Dunc, he seems to know more about the stuff.
If you want to run both PC's off one line mate, Glyn is right , you will need a good router........I'll have a search and see if I can get some idea of prices for you........
An ADSL modem/router would be your best bet, something like the Netgear DG834
Had a look mate and to 'network your PC's this is as good as any....costs about £51.00 See what you think...sounds like it will do the job for you.
Might be worth shopping around though DJ.........just tell them you want a router to connect a couple of PC's up to and see what they suggest......
heres a link anyway for netgear:

Netgear also do a wirless version...DG834G
The dogs bollox at £67....

. Would i just need to get one of these to do the job, or would i need something else for both pc's
Lol! Your welcome DJ, just hope its useful............
Fairly certain all you will need is a router mate.

Couple of people have recommended the Staples jobbie. If you have one near you, pop in and have a word................
If you are running a usb modem then you can network the PC's and run a modem share.
Networking hardware is dirt cheap and you could also run a wireless network (More expensive).
However USB modems use processor cycles and so make sure the better PC has the modem running on it.
You should be able to do this through other types of broadband access but I have never done it myself.
